Flywheel Gears

Flywheel calls it's containerized pipelines “gears.” The are categorized as either utility or analysis gears. As of 2024, flywheel plans to charge 2x for plans that use analysis gears in 2026 (when pilot shifts into it's second phase).

• locally installed gears listed on https://fw.mrrc.upmc.edu/#/gears/
• Those from the gear exchange can be installed with fw-beta gear install ¹⁾
• hpc-client on cerebro2 queries for hpc tagged jobs to dispatch to slurm instead of running locally.
