General Setup

After the initial SR Research EyeLink Install, a Ethernet 1) patch cable connects the Eye tracking PC to the “Eprime” Task computer. See EyeLink Task Computer Setup for details.

  • Eye Tracking (Host) PC records eye data and does not project to the participant facing projector
  • EPrime (Display) PC controls everything and manages all participant facing displays
    • Connected to Host by blue ethernet/network/cat6 cable
    • displays calibration screen, talks to Host PC
    • sends triggers/messages to host pc during task (and potentially receives eye events from Host PC). See EyeLink Task Integration.
  • Collected .edf files (gaze, pupil diameter, saccades, blinks) are saved from the Host PC and can be analysed offline. See EyeLink Analysis.
