Retrieve EyeLink Data

EyeLink data (edf files) are collected and stored on the Host PC. Retrieval can be automated by the task code. Use the EyeLink's receiveDataFile ( EyeLink Task Integration) to save eye data alongside other task output autonomously. No intervention needed.

To read these files, see EyeLink Analysis.

To manually transfer data from the recording saved on the “Host PC”, use the File Manager mode of the host PC. And copy .edf files from the elcl/data location by either

  • browser to http://100.1.1.1/ on the task PC or
  • connect USB storage directly to the host PC

See 2. EyeLink 1000 Plus Host Software and 2.1.4 Running Web UI on a Display Computer other than the Host PC

From EPrime (Display) PC

Transfer files by pointing MS Edge to http://100.1.1.1/ on the Eprime (“Dispaly”) PC.

The EyeLink (“Host”) PC must

  1. still be connected with the ethernet cable and
  2. put into “File Manager” mode (“Exit EyeLink” (Ctrl+Alt+Q) → “File Manager”).

From Tracker (Host) PC

  1. put into “File Manager” mode (“Exit EyeLink” (Ctrl+Alt+Q) → “File Manager”).
  2. Copy files, paste into drive
