Prisma 1
Overall configuration:
When the scanner starts scanning, it sends TTL signals (per slice TR in BOLD EPI sequence) for functional devices (e.g., Eprime computer) to synchronize its run time or to record scan clocks. The functional devices include (new) Eprime, SRR Eyetracker, Avoctec Eyetracker, Projector, Speaker/microphone, Projector switch, Scanner TTL converter, and BrainDancer, etc.
MR scan TTL signal:
The scanner console and the devices are positioned as in Fig. 0 from left to right on counter-top and white desk; scanner console, Eprime, SRR eyetracker, Avotec eyetracker, BrainDancer, and MRQART, etc.
1. Scanner scan signal → Scanner TTL converter (optic to TTL BNC) → Celeritas → Celeritas USB output → Eprime computer USB input/user’s laptop
Display monitors/projector:
There are FOUR monitors on the desk and ONE projector screen in magnet room.
The projector can display: a user’s laptop(DVI#1), Avotec eyetracker (DVI#2), or Eprime (DVI#4).
The available computers have the following monitor configurations
- "Eprime"/Task computer has TWO display ports (VGA, DisplayPort_to_DVI)
- VGA → VGA monitor;
- DisplayPort_to_DVI → Projector switch (DVI#4)
- SRR EyeLink computer has ONE VGA display port
- VGA → VGA monitor
- Note: There is no video out to the projector. Use task computer for calibration.
- Avotec computer has TWO display port (VGA, DVI)
- VGA → VGA monitor;
- DVI → Projector switch(DVI#2);
- Avotec control box connected via BNC cable → TWO Avotec monitors
- BrainDancer has its own display panel
- MRQART has one DisplayPort
Projector switch
The video signal to the projector follows this path:
DVI output → DVI-to-HDMI cable → Projector converter (HDMI video → optic signal)
This enables “multiple video signals from several computers” to “one projector screen”; to do that, one video signal should be selected by the switch box.
- DVI#1 input – user’s computer
- DVI#2 input – Avotec eyetracker computer
- DVI#3 input – BV?
- DVI#4 input – Eprime computer
